Terrible Service
Terrible. Bought battery backup for my vehicle. Started making a screaming noise soon after. Told because it was an online purchase that I had to mail back and no shipping company will accept a screaming machine. Got noise complaints at home and had to go through extra to dispose of. Trying to dispute charge through bank, since they made impossible to fulfill return.

YOU HAVE TO BUY 3 TIRES TO GET 2 OK…
YOU HAVE TO BUY 3 TIRES TO GET 2 OK TIRES ( HAUL-MASTER 10 in. Pneumatic Tire with Gold Hub ) Most of these wheels in stock have sidewall bulges. There is a bulge across the tire where the sidewall bulge is. If you try to exchange the defective tire at the Carson City NV store, the employees there cannot follow their own exchange policy. Exchange policy says ( proof of purchase ) My receipt is proof of purchase! A valid Government ID for a return must be presented for a return! ( But not for a exchange ) Their RETURN POLICY is for returns ONLY, NOT EXCHANGES !!! I will not show my ID for a $ 9.99 dollar exchange. Their use of my ID is for some sort of scam, ID Theft or other nefarious purpose. Lowe's. Home Depot, Walmart, and all other retailers in Carson City NV, DO NOT REQUIRE YOUR ID TO MAKE A RETURN OR EXCHANGE FOR LESS THAN $100.00 OR MORE. I hope Harbor Freight Founder and CEO, ( ERIC SMIDT ) see's this. I will no longer buy anything at Harbor Freight that is over $10.00 that might even have the slightest chance of needing a return or exchange !!

If I could give zero I would. I recently ordered a toolchest online ,us general 72in to match the one I bought 7 months ago. It was on clearance, new series was coming . Order went through order in possessing. I wait about a month 21 biss days for ship , I hear nothing so I call first lady says they are looking for a shipper. So I wait another week hear nothing so I call and get a lady says sorry item is back ordered and may or may not show up from China and my order will be canceled card refunded is there anything else I can do for you she says . Mean while my card was charged the day I made my order and my credit score dropped aswell when they damn well know they don't have the chest. Harbor Freight is the worst. And now I may have to dispute the charge what a joke.

Deceived
Got email with. Winner of tool box kit. Just pay 8.97 for shipping. If I win in a raffle. I paid the 8.97. Then approx. 3-4 days later my account was charged 104.00 dollars. Called about it. Well no apologies. I was offered 35.00 for my trouble. But, I could have bought that tool set for 99.00 dollars at the parts store. My advice don't fall for the could win one. Not you don't get one even after they steal money to enter you in raffle. Bad service

3 hrs 2 visits 1 call & No Product
We drive over 45 minutes to the Campbellsville KY location for an "in stock" item. Turns out it wasn't in stock. The asst mgr gave us a rain check and 25% off if we come back in 4 days. She even told me I could call b4 I went to ensure the item arrived on their truck. Okay. So the day comes and I call. The call lasted almost 10 mins as the guy checked and verified the stock was in. I asked him did you get plenty because I can't get there until tomorrow and the man said absolutely no problem. So I drive another 45 mins and the store mgr looks comes back and asks who I talked to because they have none in stock. Now ive driven 3 HOURS and have nothing. I showed my phone to the store mgr CLEARLY showing my call checking stock and told him to sell me the floor model. NO. He offered me a 25% discount and he will call me IN TWO WEEKS to let me know IF they received the stock. I had to drive a large vehicle there each time because the item was big. So now I'm out tons of gas money and my time and I still don't have what I need. I ran to Lowe's and they had JUST sold their last one. Needed it this wknd. Thanks to the outright lies told by each manager and employee of the Harbor Freight Campbellsville KY they have completely wasted HOURS of my time and tons of my own money on gas. They have ZERO customer service. The entire company is this way. Good luck getting any reply from corporate either. Harbor Freight is a company that doesn't care about its customers at all. Sad. My husband wants to post pics of the thousands of $$$$ worth of products he's purchased there. He was buying a band saw for $600 NEXT WEEK but Harbor Freight has thrown away our business. The store mgr said our business was unimportant! So they won't get another penny from us. Pathetic. Good store but ZERO customer service and ZERO mgmt. Sad.

FALSE ADVERTISING
Harbor Freight has continuously had the Badlands Off Road jack advertised as in stock on their website but never have any. They say it is the floor model and can't sell it yet they couldn't show me the floor model. Time to connect with the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. I will spend the extra $100 for the good one the PRO EAGLE. They usually don't have most of what is advertised in stock for their sales any way.

There seem to be a lot of bad reviews…
There seem to be a lot of bad reviews here. It’s understandable. Not all of their products are high quality. But you pay about 1/3 of the price you would at Home Depot. And for the half of their tools that are pretty decent quality (I’ve used Bauer and various socket sets and wrenches), they are a pretty good value.

Horrible return process
I purchased a pumps sprayer for $100 and did not last 15 minutes before it started leaking all over me! I went to take it back and they said you have to go through a return process online due to safety. I applied online and it says it may take 2 to 3 days to hear from Harbor Freight and I may have to pay shipping. I went straight to Home Depot to purchase another one. They should tell you in advance that you can not return a faulty item. I will never go back.

In stock probably just floor model which they won’t sell.
So check this out. We logged on and the Kearney NE store had the $800 gantry in stock. We drove over 2 hours to get it. Nope…none in stock the FLOOR MODEL was why it shows they have one. Asked if Grand Island had one. Nope. So we ask about the 2 ton cherry picker….also not in stock and not allowed to buy the one on the floor….and none in grand island. They said they could order and we could drive and get it in 2-3 weeks. WHY would you put your floor models in inventory and have it show in stock if you won’t sell it?? You lost over $800 not having the gantry and over $300 not having the 2 ton cherry picker. Luckily Tractor supply had a 2 ton IN STOCK and even helped us load it. Maybe actually have products in stock or stop showing floor models as stock.

Rude manager.
Kaliyah Manager at the Bend OR store is definitely a high strung individual. She doesn't know how to handle customers with professionalism. She is extremely snappy and rude. She definitely has a complex that needs to be addressed on how to handle her attitude.

Didn't try to help at all. Too busy on his Twitter acount.
Young man at counter was too busy looking at his Twitter account to help me. I ask him about where a tool was and he replied,"what you see is what we've got. I ask him again and he was just too busy looking at his phone and giggling. I put what was already in my cart back. Not shopping at the harbor freight on Kingston pike in Knoxville ever again. It was at 3pm.
